2. General
The power c ord required to c onnect the projector with the power net is not delivered with the projector. It is the res ponsibility of the
customer to provide the correct type of power cord. T he c ross-sectional area of the c onductors in the power supply cord shall not
be less than 4 mm ² or 10 AWG, minimum 300V.
To protect operating personnel, the National Electrical Manufacturers A ssociation (NEMA) recommends that the instrument panel
and cabinet be grounded. In no event shall this projector be operated without an adequate cabinet ground c onnection.
The AC supply m ust be installed by a qualified e lectrician in conformance to local codes . Hardware, wire sizes and conduit types
must c omply w ith local c odes.
UPS re quirements
The Uninterruptible Power S upply (UPS), also known as a Continuous Power Supply (CPS), mus t have an output v oltage of 200-
240V at 50-60Hz and mu st be c apable of delivering an output current of 5,5 amperes.
The connection between the UPS unit and the U PS inlet of the projector must be done with a certified AC p ower s upply c ord of
minimum 0,75 m m² or 1 8 AWG and minimum 300V.
CAUTION: The 200–240V p ower outlet (UPS OUTLET) of the projector may not be used t o provide the UPS
unit with power! The UPS OUTLET of the projector may only be used for connection to t he UPS INLET of the
projector.
The DP2K C-series projector does not have a built in UPS unit.
Projector weight
Do not underestimate the weight of the Bar co DP2K C -series projector.
The projector weights are without lens . Be sure that the pedestal on which the projector has to be installed is capable of handling
five (5) times the complete load of the sys tem.

Barco offers a pedestal for the DP2K C-series projector. This universal pedestal allows a so lid and easy setup
of the p rojector. The universal pedesta l has a separate c om partm ent to install the UPS unit for the DP 2K
C-series p rojector. Fu thermo re, the universal pedesta l contains a standard 19” rack to build in the projector
peripherals s uch a s alternative content sw itchers (e.g. ACS -2048)
2.2 Unpacking the projector
What has to be done ?
At delivery the projector is packed in a carton box upon a wooden pallet and s ecured with banding and fastening clips. Furthermore,
to provide protection du ring transportation, the projector is surrounde d with foam. O nc e the projector has arrived at the installation
site, it has to be removed from the carton box and wooden pallet in a safe manner without damaging the projector.
After unp acking let the projector acclimate to the room tem perature wh ich must b e higher then 10°C (50°F)
and lower then 35°C (95°F). N eglecting this may result in a start up failure of the Light Processor Unit.

• 8 mm Allen wrench.
• 13 mm open end w rench.
• 17 mm open end w rench.
How to unpack the projector ?
1. Remove the banding aro und the carton box, by releas ing the fastening clips as illustrated, and open the box.
