7.1 Introduction
Communicator Touch Panel for digital cinema projectors
The Comm unicator Touch Panel is designed for multi-user command and c ontrol, the Comm unicator enables users to learn quickly
and operate efciently - using an elegant and exible touch panel interface. The interface’s commo nality means that oper ators
can intuitively use any model in the product line, without restriction, and its us er-friendly na
ture translates directly into a short and
enjoyable learning curve.

The touch pan el interface can be mounted upon a swivel arm which easily ts on top of the DP2 K C-series projector. O ne central
locking mechanism of the swivel arm allows a
n instant xation of the touch panel interface in any position.
The touch panel interface can also b e installed further away from the DP2 K C-series projector. For that you can use a serial (RS232)
cable up to 10 m eter or an E thernet cable up to 50 m eter to allow a direct data communication between the D P2K C-series p rojector
and the Com mu nicator Touch Panel.
The touch panel interface can also be co nnected w ith a Local Area Network (LAN) just like the D P 2K C-series projector. In this case
both devices can communicate with each other as well.
The touch panel interface requires a +12 VDC voltage, 1,5 ampere . The use of a separate +12 VDC adaptor (1,5 ampere m inimum)
is required.
