Restricted access location
This product may only be installed in a restricted access location. The definition of a “restricted access location" is a location for
equipment where both of f ollowing applies:
• Access can only be g ained by SE RVICE PERSONNEL or by OPE RATORS who have been instructed about the r easons for
the restriction applied to the location and about the precautions that shall be taken.
• Access is through the us e of the tool or lock and key, or other means of security, and is controlled by the authorit y responsible
for the location.
Why a restricted access location: T his is a RG3 product. Based on international requirements, no person in allowed to enter the
projected beam w ithin the zone between the projection lens and the r elated Hazard Distance (HD). This shall be physically impossible
by creating sufficient separation height or by placing optional barriers. W ithin the restricted area operator t raining is considered
sufficient. T he applicable separation heights are d iscussed in "High Brightness precautions: H azard Distance (HD)", page 6 .

Users definition
Throughout this manual, the terms SERVICE PERSONNEL and TRAINED PROJECTIONIST refers to persons having appropriate
technical training and ex perience ne cessary to be knowledgeable of potential hazards to which they are exposed (including, but not
limited to HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRIC and E LECTRONIC CIRCUITRY and HIGH B RIGH TNESS PROJECTORS) in performing a
task, and of m easur es to minimize the potential risk to thems elves or other persons. The term U SER and OPERATOR refers to
any person other than SERVICE PERS ON NEL or TRA INED PROJECTION ISTS, AUTHORIZED to operate professional projection
system s.
The T RA INED PRO JEC TIONIST S m ay only perform the maintenance task described in the User & Installation man ual. A ll other
maintenance tasks and service tasks must
be performed by qualified SERVICE PERS O NN EL.
The DLP Cinema Systems are intended "FOR PROFESS IONA L USE O NLY" by AUT HO RIZED PE RSO NNE L familiar with potential
hazards associated with high voltage, high intensity light beams generated b y lasers. Only qualified SERVICE PERS ONNE L and
TRAINED PROJECTIONISTS, knowledgeable of such risks, are allowed to perform service functions inside the product enclosure.
