E01 Incubator temperature alert Check current carousel and room temperature, instrument location. Clean/replace air filter. Remove
instrument from direct sunlight/heat source.
E05 Carousel alert Reported carousel RPM is below spec, certain flag readings are incorrect, or carousel is jammed/stalled.
Contact call your local BD representative.
E06 Tier alert Tier-related flag readings are incorrect; optical error, timeout condition, or normalizer problem occurred.
Check sub-code for specific corrective actions.
E09 Test aborted Panel testing has not occurred for more than one hour. Causes include: instrument was off or door was
open for more than an hour, system clock was set ahead one hour or more, etc. All affected panel results
should be reviewed.
E10 System database corruption Database checksum test failed or data in one of the databases was corrupted. Check user preferences
and adjust if needed. Save data to USB and call your local BD representative.
E11 Printer error Check printer paper (jammed or out), cable connections, power on, and online indicator.
E13 Power failure Note power failure and restore times in instrument log.
E14 CCD underrun Problem in tier. Reboot the instrument.
E18 Normalizer alert – row averages Problem with normalizer panel data. If instrument cannot correct the condition, contact your local
BD representative.
E20 Barcode scanner not
communicating
Instrument cannot communicate properly with a barcode scanner. Reboot instrument.
E21 Level 2 rotor step warning Likely impediment to or problem with rotor rotation mechanism. Check for panel protruding from carrier,
improperly seated closure, or user-applied label peeling off. If no obvious visible cause for the error
exists, contact your local BD representative.
E22 Level 3 rotor step warning Likely impediment to or problem with rotor rotation mechanism. Check for panel protruding from carrier,
improperly seated closure, or user-applied label peeling off. If no obvious visible cause for the error
exists, contact local BD representative.
