MAB 800 / MAB 840
Rotating mechanism (MAB 840 only)
In order to permit optimum alignment even in di󰀩cult positions,
the model MAB 840 is additionally equipped with a rotating
mechanism. It allows the upper part of the machine to be rotated
by 30° to both sides and by 20 mm forwards and backwards with
the magnetic foot engaged.
 Loosen the locking device of the rotating mechanism (13).
 Position the upper part of the machine laterally and longitu-
dinally.
 Lock the rotating mechanism again.
CAUTION
► Operate the machine only with the rotating mechanism
locked.
Drilling with the machine
Drilling with twist drills
Proceed as follows when drilling with twist drills:
 Push twist drills with MK taper from below into the morse
taper (3) of the machine.
 Position the machine at the working location, align it and
switch on the magnetic clamps.
 Select the appropriate speed and switch on the machine.
NOTE
Observe the following instructions when drilling with twist drills:
► Under high pressure, the drill can glow out and the machine
can be overloaded.
► Pay attention to a regular chip discharge. With larger drilling
depths, break the chip.
