(2) Remove front indicator bezel assembly (3) from mounting plate (20)

(b) Pull indicator bezel assembly (3) away
from mounting plate (20). Chassis assembly (14) will be
f r e e d f r o m i t s m o u n t i n g p l a c e .
(3) Remove glass assembly (5).
(a) Release retaining ring (6) and carefully
withdraw glass (5) and frame gasket (4)
and bezel (3).
( 4 ) R e m o v e p o i n t e r ( 8 ) .
Pointer (8) is press fitted on shaft
of motor (29) and may be removed
by using any suitable gear extracting
tool.
(a) Remove pointer from gear shaft (29) by
means of gear extracting tool.
(5) Remove dial (7).
Remove two screws (9) that secure dial
to mounting plate (20).

Indicator bezel assembly (3), glass (5) pointer (8)
and dial (7) need not be removed from mounting
plate ( 2 0 ) u n less they are d a m a ged.
(6) Remove gears ( 2 1 ) a n d ( 2 5 ) .
Remove gears carefully so as
not to damage teeth.
