Overview

This document provides a comprehensive guide for the Benincà TO.GO, HAPPY, and IRI.TX series of advanced rolling-code (ARC) 128-bit transmitters, along with their compatible receivers.

Function Description

The Benincà ARC 128-bit rolling-code encoding system enhances the security of the radio system. These transmitters are designed for various applications, including gate and garage door automation, and can be used with different types of Benincà receivers.

Transmitter Models:

  • TO.GO Series (TO.GO 2A, TO.GO 4A, TO.GO 2VA, TO.GO 4VA, TO.GO 2AS, TO.GO 4AS, TO.GO 2AK, TO.GO 4AK, TO.GO 4ASE, TO.GO 2QV):
    • TO.GO 2A/4A: ARC encoding, 2 or 4 channels, for use only with new compatible ARC receivers.
    • TO.GO 2VA/4VA: ARC or HCS encoding (settable), 2 or 4 channels. Factory setting is ARC code, compatible with both ARC and HCS rolling-code receivers.
    • TO.GO 2AS/4AS: ARC rolling code, 2 or 4 channels, supplied in packages with consecutive serial numbers for use with the Advantouch programmer for bulk storage.
    • TO.GO 2AK/4AK: ARC rolling code, 2 or 4 channels. Cloneable version for duplicating existing ARC or Fixed Code transmitters, or can be used as a normal ARC encoded transmitter.
    • TO.GO 4ASE: ARC rolling code, 4 channels, with advanced security features.
    • TO.GO 2QV: HCS encoding, 2 channels, 868MHz.
  • HAPPY Series (HAPPY 2VA, HAPPY 4VA, HAPPY 2AK, HAPPY 4AK):
    • HAPPY 2VA/4VA: ARC or HCS encoding (settable), 2 or 4 channels. Factory setting is ARC code, compatible with both ARC and HCS rolling-code receivers.
    • HAPPY 2AK/4AK: ARC rolling code, 2 or 4 channels. Cloneable version for duplicating existing ARC or Fixed Code transmitters, or can be used as a normal ARC encoded transmitter.
  • IRI.TX Series (IRI.TX 4VA, IRI.TX 4AK):

    • IRI.TX 4AK: ARC rolling code, 2 or 4 channels. Cloneable version for duplicating existing ARC or Fixed Code transmitters, or can be used as a normal ARC encoded transmitter.

Receiver Types:

  • External Box Receiver (ONE.2WB/ONE.2W0): Independent device for external application, with terminal board for power, antenna, and two settable outputs. Handles ARC, HCS, and fixed codes.
  • Plug-in Receiver (ONE.2WI): Inserts into a molex connector on the control unit. Receives power and antenna signal from the controller. Handles ARC, HCS, and fixed codes.
  • Control Units with Built-in Radio and Learning Button (e.g., CP.J3): Integrated receiver programmable via a button and LED indicator.
  • Control Units with Built-in Radio Control and LCD Display (e.g., BRAINY): Integrated receiver programmable via a radio menu on an LCD display, offering advanced features.

Important Technical Specifications

General Transmitter Specifications:

  • Power Supply: A23 type 12V alkaline battery.
  • Battery Life: 2 years with 10 transmissions per day.
  • Transmission Frequency: 433.92 MHz (most models), 868 MHz (TO.GO 4QV).
  • Operating Temperature: -0 to +50 °C.
  • Capacity: 230 m in open air without interference.
  • Protection Rating: IP40.

Encoding Types:

  • Advanced Rolling-Code (ARC) 128-bit: High-security encoding.
  • HCS Rolling-Code 64-bit: Traditional Benincà rolling code.
  • Fixed Code: Older, less secure code type.

Compatibility:

  • ARC and HCS Rolling Code transmitters cannot be saved on the same receiver simultaneously. The first transmitter saved determines the encoding type for subsequent transmitters.
  • Fixed-code transmitters can only be used with HCS Rolling Code transmitters when the CVAR logic (dip/switch) is OFF. They are not compatible with ARC transmitters.
  • Some products are "ARC Only" and exclusively use new ARC transmitters, not allowing HCS or fixed code transmitters.

EEPROM Memory:

  • Most Benincà receivers store transmitter codes in a special removable EEPROM memory.
  • This allows for easy replacement of control units or receivers without re-storing all transmitters.
  • Standard EEPROM stores up to 64 codes; high-capacity EEPROM (art. MEM 2048) stores up to 2048 codes.

Usage Features

Storing Transmitters:

  • Box Receiver (ONE.2WB/ONE.2W0):
    • Connect antenna (RG58 cable) and power.
    • Press Program button (using a paper clip) until red LED lights up for CH1, or press twice until green LED lights up for CH2.
    • Within 5 seconds, press the desired button on the transmitter.
    • The receiver exits programming mode after successful storage.
  • Plug-in Receiver (ONE.2WI):
    • Insert into molex connector on control unit.
    • Power control unit, connect antenna (RG58 cable).
    • Press Program button until red LED lights up for CH1, or press twice until green LED lights up for CH2.
    • Within 5 seconds, press the desired button on the transmitter.
  • Control Units with Built-in Radio and Learning Button (e.g., CP.J3):
    • Power control unit, connect antenna (RG58 cable).
    • Press PGM button (or equivalent) for 1s; LED DL1 (or equivalent) blinks.
    • Within 10s, press the desired button on the transmitter (e.g., for P.P. function).
    • The receiver exits programming mode.
  • Control Units with Built-in Radio Control and LCD Display (e.g., BRAINY):
