4.3 q message
MU request to speak resp. MU reporting microphone OFF
The q message is sent every time a connected MU wants to activate the microphone; it
comes to the so-called MU request to speak. It is also sent when the MU is cleared; this
way the MU reports that the microphone is now off.
Stand-alone mode: If there are freely available streams, the q message is followed
directly by a Q message that performs the allocation to a stream. If no streams are
available, the request to speak does not trigger any further actions.
PC-controlled mode: In PC-controlled mode, q messages are also generated when a
MU makes a request to speak. In contrast to stand-alone mode, this mode does not
directly assign a MU to a stream, but the microphone must be switched on (via the PC
software) using the A command. In such a case, Q messages are generated as well,
since an allocation or de-allocation event also occurs.
