78 Microphone Mode Commands
Example
7.6 MU individual persistent Volume
It is possible to directly assign a fixed volume to the MUs. This volume is then no longer
connected to the audio upstreams, but to the MU ID; they are therefore independent of
the assignment of the MUs to a specific audio upstream, which can change as new MUs
are in RF range. This guarantees that a volume set for a particular MU (and associated
with it for a particular speaker) will be maintained, even if the MU has been completely
removed from the participant/MU list and is then added to it again.
Before these MU ID concrete commands can be executed, the MU ID must first be set
or selected, which is done using unicast mode. The M command as already shown in
chapter 3.2 addresses specific MUs by their MU ID. As revision the M command is again
shown in the following table.
Note
Unlike the previous command in chapter 7.5 which addresses the channel volume, this
command cannot be used in Conference Me mode.
Select Unicast Mode addressing the MU with
MU ID muad
This command sets the volume of channel 2 to 0x15;
the higher the hexadecimal values, the lower the
volume will be. In the graphical feedback of the
Quinta software the value 0x15 is displayed as -15.
This command sets the volume of channel 3 to 0x00;
this is the maximum volume that can be assigned to
the MU as individual volume. In the graphical
feedback of the Quinta software the value 0x00 is
displayed as 0.
