The
sample
block
of
the
MyCycler
thermal
cycler
can
reach
temperatures
of
100°C,
and
the
heated
lid
can
be
programmed
to
maintain
temperatures
up
to
110°C.
The
heated
lid
should
remain
closed
at
all
times
during
operation
to
prevent
accidental
skin
burns.
Always
allow
the
sample
block
to
return
to
its
idle
temperature
before
opening
the
lid
and
removing
samples.
When
placing
or
removing
samples,
open
the
heated
lid
all
the
way
up
to
allow
maximum
clearance
and
to
avoid
accidental
skin
burns.
This
symbol
on
the
reaction
module
indicates
a
hot
surface.
Always
connect
the
power
supply
to
a
3-prong,
grounded
AC
outlet
rated
10
A/100-120
V
or
5
A/220-240
V
using
the
AC
power
cord provided
with
the
MyCycler.
Do
not
use
an
adapter
to
a
two-terminal
outlet.
Before
plugging
the
instrument
in,
be
sure
that
the
correct
fuse
is
installed
in
the
rear
panel
fuse
holder.
Use
the
4A
5
x
20
mm
TYPE
T
fuse
for
220-240
V
or
the
8A
5 x
20
mm
TYPE
T
fuse
for
100-120
V.
Never
remove
the
outer
casing
of
the
MyCycler.
There
are
no
user-serviceable
parts
for
this
instrument.
Call
your
local
Bio-Rad
office
for
instrument
services.
To
insure
adequate
cooling
of
the
MyCycler,
place
it
on
a
clean,
flat
surface,
and be
sure
that
there
is
at
least
4
inches
(10
cm)
clearance
around
each
side
of
the
thermal
cycler.
Make
sure
that
the
bench space
is
free
of
any
foreign
objects
or
debris
that
could
block
the
fan
vents.
Do
not
operate
the
MyCycler
in
extreme
humidity
or
where
condensation
can
short
the
internal
electrical
circuits
of
the
thermal
cycler.
