The usual cause of this problem is that the affected CPUs are set to load a Logitech
or other type of mouse driver when Windows starts up. Set the CPU to load the
generic Microsoft mouse driver instead.

The ServSwitch Jr. supports only “stream mode” (continuous) mouse data. It
doesn’t support the “prompt mode” (burst-on-request) method for handling
mouse data that the IBM ThinkPad uses, regardless of whether the ThinkPad is
connected to the Switch directly or through a docking station (and see
Section 5.2.14).
