• Good combustion is required in
gas appliances. In case of in-
complete combustion, carbon
monoxide (CO) might develop.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless,
odorless and very toxic gas,
which has a lethal effect even in
very small doses.
• Request information about gas
emergency telephone numbers
and safety measures in case of
gas smell from you local gas
provider.
• The appliance and its individual
shut-off valve must be discon-
nected from the gas supply pip-
ing system during any pressure
testing of that system at test
pressures in excess of 1/2 psi
(3.5 kPa).
• The appliance must be isolated
from the gas supply piping sys-
tem by closing its individual ma-
nual shutoff valve during any
pressure testing of the gas
supply piping system at test
pressures equal to or less than
1/2 psi (3.5 kPa).
• Hob burners will not automati-
cally re-ignite in the event of
power failure and unignited gas
will still be expelled from the
burners. Switch off burners im-
mediately whenever a power
failure occurs.
