Maintenance and care
Front brake
e Attention:
Have brake pads replaced be-
fore the minimum permitted
thickness is reached.
L Note:
For your safety, we recommend
having work on the brake system
performed by a specialist work-
shop, preferably an authorised
BMW motorcycle dealer.
• Visually inspect from in front
• Check the thickness of the
brake pads
Minimum pad thickness:
The brake pads must have
clearly visible wear indicating
marks 1 (slots).
– If the wear indicating mark is
no longer clearly visible:
have the brake pads replaced
by a specialist workshop,
preferably an authorised
BMW motorcycle dealer.
