While recording, working indicator 1 will flash red, and working indicator 2 and charging indicators will be solid green. Press the audio button again to stop recording and save the file. White Illumination: After powering on, long press the photo button to turn on or off the six white lights, which serve as illuminating lights.

Time/Date Setting: The W4 camera supports enabling or disabling the time and date stamp on video and photo files. To set the time and date:

  1. Connect the camera to a PC. The camera will auto-generate four files: "time" txt file, "VIDEO" folder, "AUDIO" folder, and "PHOTO" folder.
  2. Open the "time" txt file.
  3. Edit the date and time in the format: year (4-digit), month (2-digit), day (2-digit), hour (2-digit), minute (2-digit), second (2-digit).
  4. The second "Y" character in the "time" txt file controls the time stamp. "Y" means the time stamp is on; "N" means it's off.
  5. The first "Y" character in the "time" txt file controls loop recording. "Y" means loop recording is on; "N" means it's off.
  6. Save the "time" txt file.
  7. Turn on the camera to register the changes. Note: After setting, the time data in the "time" txt file may revert to default due to software design, but the camera will record with the modified time. Always power on the camera after changes to ensure they are registered.

Connecting to Computer: Connect the camera to a computer using the provided USB cable, or use a card reader to access the Micro SD card directly. The camera will enter USB disk mode, allowing users to review or delete files.

Maintenance Features

Reset Function: If the camera crashes or stops working, a reset can be performed by poking the reset hole (located below the video button) with a pin or thimble. Avoid excessive force. The device will auto shut down after the reset and can be restarted by long pressing the power button.

Memory Card Insertion: It is highly recommended to use a reliable and genuine brand of Class 10 micro SD card (16GB to 128GB MAX). Ensure the correct card format is used: FAT32 for ≤32GB cards and exFat for ≥64GB cards.

Troubleshooting:

  • Camera not powering on: Charge for at least 3 hours, check charger/USB cable, connect to wall socket, perform a reset. If issues persist, contact customer service.
  • Camera stops recording/cannot store video: Check if the video button is intact, format the camera and perform a hard reset, try a different 64GB card. If issues persist, contact customer service.
  • Video/audio cannot be played or no sound: Recommended to play back files using VLC media player on the computer.
  • Camera shuts off automatically: If idle for 5 minutes, the camera will auto shut off. Long press the power button to restart.
  • Lost accessories: Contact customer service at support@boblov.com for replacement parts.

General Maintenance:

  • Always eject the camera safely from the computer before unplugging the cable.
  • If the computer doesn't recognize the camera, reset the camera first, then re-plug.
  • If the camera is idle for a long time or the card is removed, settings may be restored to default. Reconnect to a PC and follow the time/date setting steps.
