6.15 Change engine oil and oil fil-
ter
Danger
!
Danger of scalding!
When draining off hot oil.
By hot oil when changing the engine oil filter.
Caution
!
Park the machine on level ground.
Drain the engine oil only when the engine is
warm.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table
of fuels and lubricants".
Environment
Catch running out oil and dispose of environ-
mentally together with the oil filter.

l Unscrew the oil filler cap (Fig. 57).

l Clean the drain hose from dust and dirt.
l Unscrew the oil drain plug and catch any oil
running out (Fig. 58).
l Clean the oil drain plug and screw it back in
(tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft.lbs)).

l Clean the oil filter flange.
l Unscrew both screws and take off the oil filter
flange (Fig. 59).
l Pull the oil filter out.
l Wipe the sealing face on the engine clean.
l Use a new filter cartridge.
l Check the seal on the oil filter flange, replace
if necessary.
l Screw the oil filter flange in tightly.
