What to do if the blower operates but the compressor does not in my Bosch Heat Pump?

If the blower in your Bosch Heat Pump is running but the compressor isn't, first check the thermostat's settings, calibration, and wiring. Inspect the safety controls for loose or broken wires at the compressor, capacitor, or contactor. If the compressor is cool and the overload won't reset, the compressor may need to be replaced. A compressor motor grounded internally to the shell also requires compressor replacement; if there's a compressor burnout, install a suction filter dryer. Finally, if the compressor windings are open after the compressor has cooled, check their continuity; if they're open, replace the compressor.
