Reception
by
rod
antenna
The
rod
antenna
of
this
unit
is
sufficient
for
FM
reception
as
long
as
it
is
ina
sensitive
location.-Extend
to
full
length
and
adjust
to
angle
for
best
reception.
Reception
via
external
antenna
If
you
are
unable
to
receive
good
reception
with
the rod
antenna,
connect
an
external
antenna.
If
possible,
connect
an
FM
dedicated
antenna
for
even
better
results.
To
use
an
external
antenna,
connect
the
antenna
cord
to
the
GFM
external
antenna
terminal,
and
turn
the
1@
FM
antenna
selector
switch
to
the
"EXT*
position.
Attention
The
FM
antenna
terminal
on
this
unit
is
generally
called
an
"F-type
jack."
Please
check
this
when
installing
an
external
antenna
etc.
AM
loop
antenna
connection
Assemble
the
AM
loop
antenna
as
shown
in
the
diagram
below,
then
connect
it
to
the
FAM
loop
antenna
terminal
When
installing
the
AM
loop
antenna,
locate
the
location
where
you
can
receive
the
best
reception
while
listening
to
Nic
If
you
install
the
AM
loop
antenna
in
the
following
locations,
reception
will
deteriorate.
+
Near
the
power
cord
or
speakers
+
On
top
of
a
VCR
or
TV,
etc.
