SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT READ CAREFULLY: It is important that all operators read and understand all
sections of this Tool Technical Data manual and the separate Safety and Operating Instruction Manual which
come with this tool. Failure to do so could result in you or others in the working area to be seriously injured.
WARNING! Eye protection in accordance with 89/686/EEC, and with equal or greater grade than defined in
EN166 should be used. However all aspects of operators work, environment and other type/s of machinery
being used, should also be considered when selecting any personal protection equipment. Note: Non-side
shielded spectacles and face shields alone do not provide adequate protection.
WARNING! To prevent accidental injuries:
•
Never place a hand or any other part of the body in fastener discharge area of tool.
•
Never point tool at yourself or anyone whether it contains fasteners or not.
•
Never engage in horseplay.
•
Never pull the trigger unless the nose is directed towards the work.
•
Always handle the tool with care.
•
Do not pull the trigger or depress the trip mechanism whilst loading the tool.
•
To prevent accidental actuation and possible injury, always disconnect air supply.
1. Before making adjustments. 2. When servicing the tool. 3. When clearing a jam. 4. When tool is not in use.
5. When moving to a different work area, as accidental actuation may occur, possibly causing injury.
•
Read the additional Safety & Operating instructions booklet before using tool.
•
Do not use oxygen and combustible gases as an energy source for pneumatically operated tools.
•
The operation of this tool can cause sparks and act as a source of ignition for flammable fuels and gases.
IMPORTANT! Tool Operation:
•
To identify the operation type of your model, check the ID label affixed to the tool/ rear of this manual and the
corresponding table (marked ?) column L for that model. Read the corresponding section in the Safety &
Operating instructions for information of each trip type.
WARNING! Moveable Parts & Jaw (FIG 1)
•
These tools feature moveable parts including the jaw to close the fasteners. Make sure only the material to be
fastened is placed within the jaws of this tool to avoid the danger of crushing of fingers. Keeps hands clear at all
times to prevent serious injury.
LOADING INSTRUCTIONS- SC7 Series (Fig 2A, 2B,3,4 )
1. Slide the fasteners onto the magazine rail (Fig 2A) towards the front of the magazine (Fig 2B)
2. Pull back the pusher past the fasteners (Fig 3)
3. Gently release the pusher, so that it remains behind the fasteners, pushng them along the magazine (Fig 4)
LOADING INSTRUCTIONS- TR201, TR203, TR315 (Fig 5,6,7)
1. Disengage the latch and pull back magazine side. (Fig. 5)
2. With magazine fully open, insert fasteners. Points must be against bottom of magazine. (Fig. 6)
3. Push magazine forward and engage latch. (Fig. 7)
Note: TR201 tools use a short magazine/pusher that holds up to 50 rings. The TR201 & TR315 models have a
longer magazine/pusher that can hold up to 100 rings.
Note: Use only fasteners recommended by Bostitch for use in Bostitch tools or fasteners which meet Bostitch
specifications
