C band
3.7 ~ 4.2 Hz Frequency.
DiSEqC
Digital Satellite Equipment Control.
Ku band
11 ~ 18GHz Frequency.
LNB(Low-Noise Block converter)
The LNB is an electronic unit mounted on the satellite dish.
It receives the signals reflected by the dish ad converts them to signals that can be
used by Satellite receiver.
PID
Package Identifier.
PIN Code
Personal Identification Number.
A four-digit code that is used for locking/unlocking. e.g. with the parental control
feature.
Polarization
Polarization allows several programmes to be fitted into the same frequency band.
The signals from a satellite are transmitted either with linear(vertical or horizontal)
polarization or circular(right or left) polarization.
RS232
Serial data port.
