1. Place clutch on starter shaft
(A, Figure 25). Rotate clutch until it drops
into place (B).

2. Install pinion gear (C, Figure 26) with
beveled edge of teeth up. Install return
spring (D) into recess of pinion gear.

3. Place wave washer (E, Figure 27) with
concave side up and flat washer (F) on
starter clutch spline.
