About This Document
This hardware installation guide contains procedures and safety requirements for installing the Brocade
®
G610 Switch
into a rack system or as a stand-alone device. Also provided are steps to initially configure the switch for operation, verify
and monitor operation, replace switch field-replaceable units (FRUs), and install transceivers and cables. Complete
technical specifications for the switch are also included.
Supported Hardware and Software
This document is applicable to the Brocade G610 FC Switch running Fabric OS
®
(FOS) 8.1.0 or later. The following table
lists the rack mount kits that are supported with this device.

XBR-R000162 Fixed-mount kit for four-post racks.
XBR-000165 Mid-mount kit for two-post racks.
XNA-000072 Nonport-side fixed-mount rack kit (15 in.—20 in.) for four-post racks.
