APPENDIX A - Viscosity Range Table
e range coecient is a convenient tool for quickly determining the maximum viscosity that can be
measured with a specic spindle/speed combination. Identify the spindle in use and the torque range
(LV, RV, HA, HB) of the Viscometer/Rheometer. Look up the Range Coeecient in the following table.
Divide the Range Coecient by the spindle speed to determine the maximum viscosity in centipoise
that can be measured.
E.g. RV Viscometer with RV3 spindle: Range Coecient is 100,000. At 50 RPM, the maximum viscosity
that can be measured is 100,000/50 or 2,000 cP.
