(1) Adjust el ement 0 so that the needle tip is 19 mm above the needle plate when the needle is in the up
pos ition .
(2)
Adjust the needle and feed timing with element f) so that th e feed mechanism begins to operate after the
needle has been removed from the mater ial, and so that the feed mec han i sm stops before the needle enters
the mater ial.
* The feed timing shou ld be increased when sewin g heavy materials . This will decr ease needle sidewise
movement and improve sewing effic iency.
