If your Brother All in One Printer displays 'Jam Rear', open the front cover, leave the machine turned on for 10 minutes to cool down, slowly take out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly, pull down the tabs at the left and right hand sides to open the fuser cover. Using both hands, gently pull the jammed paper out of the fuser unit. Close the fuser cover and the back cover (face-up output tray). How to fix a 'Jam Inside' error on Brother DCP-7055W?
R
Rebekah MurrayAug 27, 2025
If your Brother All in One Printer displays 'Jam Inside', leave the machine for a few minutes to cool down, open the front cover, slowly take out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly. The jammed paper may be pulled out with the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly, or this may release the paper so you can pull it out of the inside of the machine. If you cannot remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly easily, do not use extra force. Instead, push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit. Clear the jammed paper if there is any inside the drum unit.

The 'Cooling Down Wait for a while' message on your Brother All in One Printer means the temperature of the drum unit or toner cartridge is too hot. Make sure that you can hear the fan in the machine spinning and that the exhaust outlet is not blocked by something. If the fan is spinning, remove any obstacles that surround the exhaust outlet, and then leave the machine turned on but do not use it for several minutes. If the fan is not spinning, disconnect the machine from the power for several minutes then reconnect it.
