FEED
ADJUSTMENTS
[i] STITCH LENGTH ADJUSTMENT
A desired stitch length can be selected by means
of
the
scale
on main feed arm 0 and the numerals on the scales
of
main feed arm 0 and differential feed arm 8 indicate stitch length in millimeters, but actual stitch length varies with
the kind and thickness
of
the material and the differential fedd.
Procedures
1 Pull and open feed mechanism cover (B) 8 on the back
of
the machine.
2 Loosen nut
e.
3
Move
feed ling indicator plate
fit
until its red mark
is
in line with that number on the
scale
which represents your
desired stitch length.
4 Retighten nut
8 securely.

DIFFERENTIAL
FEED ADJUSTMENT
Differential ratio produced
by
the movement
of
differential feed arm
is
to
be dicided depending on normal stitching,
stretching and shirring.
Calculation method
of
differential ratio:
Differential ratio
= The scale on differential feed arm
The scale on main feed arm
* In
case
of
the maximum stitch length in normal stitching refer below.
-27-
In case
of
normal stitching
Set the scale on differential feed arm 0
in
the
same~
way
as
the scale on main feed arm
0.
2 In case
of
stretching
Set the scale on differential feed arm 8 to a smaller
number than that
of
the scale on main feed
arm
0 .
