Silent Install (Windows
®
only)
Silent Install allows you to install the printer driver on
computers remotely; there is no need for each
computer user to install the driver themselves.
a Start the command prompt.
Click Start/All Programs/Accessories/
Command Prompt.
Or click Start, click Search Programs and
files (Run), and then type “cmd” and press the
Enter key.
b Type CD-ROM drive: after > at the command
prompt, where CD-ROM drive is the letter of
the CD-ROM drive you inserted the CD-ROM
in, and press the Enter key.
For example, if the CD-ROM was inserted into
the D drive, it would be: c:\>d:
c Type cd install\model name after >,
where model name is your machine’s model
name, and press the Enter key.
For example, if the model name was
HL-S7000DN, it would be:
d:\cd install\HL-S7000DN
d Type setup /ip ip address after >,
where ip address is the IP address of the
print server, and press the Enter key.
For example, if the IP address was
192.168.1.1, it would be:
d:\install\HL-S7000DN>setup /ip
192.168.1.1
