I want to make sure that my network devices are working correctly.

Are your Brother machine,
access point/router or network
hub turned on?
Make sure you have confirmed all instructions in Make sure you have first checked
the following: on page 35.
Where can I find my Brother
machine’s network settings, such
as IP address?
Check [Communication settings] in the [Printer Setting Tool].
See Communication Settings (Windows only) on page 21.
Can you ping your Brother
machine from your computer?
Ping your Brother machine from your computer using the IP address or the node
name.
Successful i Your Brother machine is working correctly and connected to the
same network as your computer.
Unsuccessful i Your Brother machine is not connected to the same network as
your computer.
Ask the network administrator.
[Communication settings] in the Printer Setting Tool can be used to change
the network settings.
See Communication Settings (Windows only) on page 21.
Is your Brother machine correctly
connected to the network?
Check the wireless communication indicator on the LCD display.

the network is correctly connected.

the network is not connected correctly, and the wireless network setup
must be reconfigured.
