10. Antennas
The following illustrations show examples of the most common antenna setups. Transmission
distances may vary due to many factors such as, terrain, trees, brush, or various types of radio
frequency interference.
40” Omni at Base, Standard at Cameras
● Most common antenna upgrade
● Mount Omni as high as possible
● Use 400 series cable
Typical transmission range up to 2 miles
40” Omni at Base, Yagi at Cameras
● Mount Omni as high as possible
● Use 400 series cable
● Mini Yagi or 56” Yagi at cameras
● Point Yagi antennas to the Base
It may be possible to increase transmission distance to many miles. This will usually require an
