Präsenz tech 6813-101 (hereinafter referred to as Presence Detector)
is designed solely for use indoors , e.g., in offices, schools, or private buildings. It can only
be used in conjunction with the following devices:
- Universal Relay Insert 6401U-102 - Universal Series Insert 6402U
- Standard Relay Insert 6812U-101 - Universal Dimmer 6590U-103
- MOS Fet Insert 6804U - Universal Pushbutton Controller 6550U-101
- Extension 6805U
The device is designed for mounting on the ceiling and can be installed both "flush-mounted"
(e.g., in the case of a suspended ceiling) and "surface-mounted" (optional housing, Art. No.
6885). The Presence Detector has highly-sensitive sensors/lens systems. Different loads
(depending on the FM Insert) are controlled via a brightness/movement-dependent output
terminal. Optimum operation of the device depends, inter alia, on the mounting height (see
Chapter 4.2).
The detection range can also be adjusted by means of a masking strip which is supplied with
the device (see Chapter 4.3).
