Let’s get started
FM operation
DLS (dynamic label segment) / Radio text. The broadcaster may include a scrolling text message
about the current program.
Signal strength - the display will show a slide bar to indicate the strength of the signal. The stronger
the signal, the longer the bar.
Frequency - the display will show the frequency of the station being broadcasted.
Signal error - This is displayed as a number between 0-99. It will not be possible to listen to a radio
station with a signal error rate of 30 or above.
Audio bit rate - The display will show the digital audio bit rate being r
eceived.
Program type - this describes the type of program. If the information is not available the display will
show “No PTY”.
Time and date - the time and date will be shown and will automatically be updated from the radio
signal.
Turn the power of the radio on, press the “Mode/Power” button repeatedly and select the “FM
mode”. The display will show “FM” and the radio will automatically tune to the nearest FM radio
station and then the display will show the station name (RDS), or the display will show the
frequency if RDS is not available.
Auto scan
In FM mode, press and hold the “Info/Menu” button, rotate the dial until “Auto scan is displayed
and press the “Enter” button to confirm to start “auto scanning”, or long press the “Scan” button,
and then the radio starts to scan the entire FM band (87.5-108.MHz), and it will automatically store
all the radio stations which have been found, into the “Preset list memory”.
Remark: each time you choose to perform an “Auto scan” and scan the full frequency band, it will
automatically update the radio station list in the “Preset list memory”.
Manual scan
To search manually for any radio station, press the “Previous” or “Next” button, each press will
change the frequency by 0.05MHz.
Scan setting (how to scan for radio stations)
FM mode, long press the “info/menu” button and rotate the dial to choose Scan setting and press
the “Enter” button to scan setting.
Rotate the dial button to choose “Strong station only” or “All stations”. Then press the “Enter”
button to confirm start the scan. If you choose ‘Strong station only’, the radio will only scan and
play stations with a strong signal. If you choose “All stations”, the radio will also scan and play
stations with a weak signal.
