9. Maintenance
Filter
All technical equipment requires regular mainte-
nance. According to DIN 1988, maintenance must
be carried out by expert technical staffs who also
replace the parts subject to wear and tear. We there-
fore recommend closing a maintenance contract.
Maintenance must be carried out once a year, or
twice a year for communal installations. It is to be
carried out by the installer or manufacturer.
Battery Check
Push the operation button one time shortly.
OK: 10 x BEEP and 10 x FLASH
If no conrmation or less then 10 signals, the bat-
teries has to be changed. Average lifetime (depen-
ding on the quality of the batteries): about 6 years.
To guarantee the right time cycle, batteries have to
be changed with the lter element.
Change of batteries
To change the batteries remove the cover and re-
lease the electronic to the inside. Open the bottom
of the electronic and change the batteries (2 pieces,
1.5 V AA). Reassemble the lter in reverse order
and start up the lter (7. Start up).
The controller in your product contains durable
batteries. It is not allowed to give batteries in the
household waste. You are committed to replace the
batteries to a qualied collecting point or send them
back to BWT (free of charge). Used batteries contain
useful raw materials, these can be recycled.
