after Pearl Harbor, Cadillac discon-
tinued car production for the first
time since

in order
to
construct
light tanks, cornbat vehicles and
internal parts for Allison

gines. Two Cadillac
V8
engines and
Hydra-Matic transmissions were
used in each tank.
