3.3.3 Unpacking the 2364 ONT and the Outer Enclosure
Use the following steps to unpack the ONT and its outer enclosure:
1. Inspect all packing containers. If any damage or other signs of mishandling are evident, immediately inform both the
carrier and Calix before proceeding.
2. Carefully remove the ONT and outer enclosure from the container(s).
3. Examine the units and cables for signs of damage or other mishandling.
4. Check the packing list to verify receipt of all components. Contact Calix immediately to report any discrepancies.
3.4 Installing the UPS
Follow the installation instructions that came with the UPS.
Caution: Static voltages as low as 30 volts can damage circuitry. Make sure to observe all standard anti-
static procedures when handling electronic equipment and components.
Warning: Before making any power connections to this equipment, verify that the UPS power is off (fuse
removed/breaker tripped).
Warning: Only operate the 2364 ONT from the type of certified/listed power supply supplied by the
manufacturer with the equipment.
