5. Starting the Unit
5.1 Starting the Unit - Road Operation
Under no circumstances should ether or any other
starting aids be used to start the engine.
1. Place the I/O switch in the I position.
2. If the unit has been used previously in the Electric mode, press the
Road/Electric key to enable Road mode.
Under normal circumstances this is all that is required to start the unit.
• The Road mode icon will be displayed and the message
“ROAD” is displayed.
• The unit will perform a complete diagnostic check on the micro-
processor controller, pre-heat for the required amount of time
based on the engine temperature and start automatically.
