2.5 WebAdmin
The WebAdmin is the internal web-page that can be opened using a browser, the page is running within the CCVMotion
terminal itself, so there is no need for additional tooling to be installed.
It can be seen as a configuration page like normally used in all kinds of appliances, like routers, media-players, etc.
When visiting the WebAdmin via the terminal's IP address, the user is shown a page with the basic terminal information,
when logged in(on?), more features can be used to service the terminal.
2.6 Supported browsers:
Officially we only support Chrome Version 48.0.2564.116 or higher older version will also work, but we do not support them
actively.
Other browsers like Internet-Explorer, Firefox, Safari will also work but screen layout may not be optimal.
There is no official support on these browsers from CCV, but it will probably work also because standard HTML
functionality is being used.
2.7 Technical info
Technically, the WebAdmin is a webserver running on TCP port 80 (HTTP). Please make sure that the network allows this
port(in the firewall, etc.).
The Webadmin is used for local maintenance only. Please keep in mind that the used port should never be
accessible to any (third) party outside of the local network.
2.8 Advantages WebAdmin
The aim is to have the AdminClient tool replaced with this internal web-page, the main advantages:
Compatibility
When using the external tool AdminClient, the actual version of the CCVMotion can differ from the admin-tool being used,
this can result in problems due to incompatible versions. This is not possible anymore using the WebAdmin, because the
web-page is running within the CCVMotion terminal and prevents compatibility problems.
Features
A lot of new features are only available in the WebAdmin, the AdminClient does not provide them, the reason is that the
technology of the WebAdmin provides faster development of new features
