Rough Water Adaptor for Floating Docks
The
Xpress
is designed to be free floating and is able to rise and fall independent of the
dock. This is essential on a fixed dock, but is also desirable on a floating dock. It enables the
Xpress
port to remain level in the water independent of the attitude of the dock. This is
especially convenient when the live load on the dock tends to be moved around, including
people congregating in one area.
However, there can be a problem when an
Xpress
port is allowed to float free in water that
is subject to increased wave action due to weather or boating activity.
To counter this there is a custom-made adaptor attached in place of the rollers. Please note
that this is for front mounted floating docks only. DO NOT USE ON SIDE MOUNTED
APPLICATIONS. We do not advise side mounting in any rough water applications.
