1.9 Undercarriage (Mobil trac) system
1.9.1 Do a check of the oil level for the drive wheel hubs
NOTE: Inspect the oil level frequently for machines operating in extremely wet or muddy conditions.
Change the oil every 400 hours under these conditions.
NOTE: There are two plugs in the drive wheel hub. The magnetic plug has a 4.76 mm (0.19 in) 3/16 inch
hex socket inset. The non magnetic plug has a 5.56 mm (0.22 in) 7/32 inch hex socket inset.
1. With the machine on a hard, level surface,
drive forward or rearward a small amount to
put the magnetic plug in the correct position
(1). The magnetic plug must be between
nine o'clock and ten o'clock or between two
o'clock and three o'clock position. Put
chocks at the front and rear of the tracks.
2. Clean the area around the magnetic plug,
then remove the magnetic plug.
The oil level must be at the bottom of the
threaded hole. Remove any metal particles
from the magnetic plug. If necessary, add oil.
See refill capacities. Install and tighten the
magnetic plug.

1.9.2 Change the drive wheel hub oil
1. Put the machine on a hard level surface.
2. Drive forward or rearward slightly to locate
the magnetic plug (2) on the inboard hub, at
the twelve o'clock position.
3. Place the chocks at the front and the rear of
tracks.
4. Clean area around the plug (2).
5. Remove the plug (2), and clean any
accumulated metal particles from the plug
magnet.

6. Clean the area around the outboard hub
plugs (1) and (2).
Remove both plugs and let oil drain into an
approved container. Clean any accumulated
metal particles from the magnetic plug.
7. After the oil has finished draining, install one
plug in lower threaded hole (2).
8. Remove the wheel chocks.
9.
Drive the machine rearward slightly until
open threaded hole (1) is between two
o'clock and three o'clock position.
