Do you have a question about the Chandler Systems D15 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Chandler Systems D15 Control Valve is a sophisticated water treatment device designed for various applications, including water softeners, iron filters, sediment filters, carbon filters, and neutralizing filters. It is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for remote monitoring and control via the Legacy View app on both Android and iOS devices.

Function Description:

The D15 Control Valve manages the regeneration cycles of water treatment systems. For metered versions, it tracks the amount of treated water remaining and initiates regeneration when the capacity is depleted. For filter/aeration versions, it tracks days until regeneration based on a set override value. The valve's operation is controlled by a powerhead assembly that includes a motor, gears, and an encoder wheel to precisely manage the piston's movement through different cycles.

The Legacy View app provides a comprehensive dashboard for monitoring and controlling the valve. Users can view the time of day on the unit, battery life, current water flow, soft water remaining (for softeners) or days until backwash (for filters), regeneration time, treated water usage, peak flow, water hardness (for softeners), filter backwash frequency (for filters), brine tank level (for softeners), and average water usage per day. The app also offers advanced settings for adjusting cycle times and other parameters, though these should only be modified under the guidance of Chandler Systems or a registered plumber.

A key feature is the Salt Monitoring Update, introduced in Legacy View version 3.1.18, for metered softeners running C4.22 firmware. This allows users to monitor their brine tank salt levels. After initial setup, which involves configuring brine tank width and max fill height, users can update the current salt level by tapping the brine tank or sliding to the desired position. The app can also provide notifications if salt levels are low, prompting users to add more salt. iOS users can add a Salt Monitor widget to their home screen for quick status checks.

The valve's main menu, accessible via physical buttons on the unit, allows for setting the time of day, hardness (for metered versions), regeneration frequency (for filter versions), and air recharge frequency (for aeration versions).
