Service and Maintenance
Coolant level can be seen through the
translucent auxiliary water tank reservoir.
When engine is under cold state, the
coolant level should be between MIN and
MAX marks.
If you have to add coolant when engine is
hot, wait for 10 minutes first to let engine
cool down. First unscrew the filler cap for
1/4 turn to release the pressure inside.
Wait for a period of time and then
completely open it. Add the coolant in
compliance with the specifications of this
vehicle.
Using the coolant of correct concentration
can not only protect engine from freezing
in winter but also provide anticorrosion
protection throughout the year. Modern
engines run under extremely high
temperature and inferior coolant can not
provide cooling system with proper
anticorrosion protection.
Therefore, please use the coolant in
compliance with specifications of Chery.
See the chapter “Capacities and
Specifications” for its capacity.

Please do not open the filler
cap when engine is running or it is hot;
otherwise, coolant may be sprayed out
of the system to result in scalding or
corrosion to other parts and
components.
The coolant is a kind of
toxic liquid and it can not be used to
wash hand or clothing. When adding
coolant, be extremely careful to
avoid it spilling onto any part of
engine. If you let the liquid contacts
skin or eye inadvertently, please
flush the affected part with abundant
clear water and immediately see a
doctor.
