3.3.2 Synchronisation connection
For Synchronised operation between two Transmitters, it is necessary to interconnect terminals 8
“SYNC”
and 7
“GND”
of terminal block MS1 on both Transmitters.
It is also necessary to select one Transmitter as
Master
and the other as
Slave
”, by means of
jumper Jp3.
Jp3 =
“IN”
position, the terminal 8 of MS1 is the input for an external synchronisation
signal, so the Transmitter is “
Slave
”.
Jp3 =
“OUT”
position, the terminal 8 of MS1 is the output for the internally produced
synchronisation signal, so the Transmitter is “
Master
Remark:
Before connecting
synchronization wires each barrier must be aligned individually.
Ensure that the transmitter of the barrier
not
being aligned is powered down.
The cable connecting the two transmitters, must be as short as possible and not more
than 10 meters. If cables longer than 10 meters are required, it is necessary to use the
synchronisation repetition circuit mod. SYNC 01.
3.3.3 Stand-by connection
For activation of the Stand-by function, it is necessary connect terminal 7 “ST.BY” of MS1
terminal block on the receiver to ground and connect terminal 5 “ST.BY” of MS1 terminal block
on the transmitter to ground.
Remark:
the Stand-by operation, does not inhibit the barrier operation, but deactivates the
recording of events into the “historical file” (TX and RX) and into the monitor file (RX).
3.3.4 Test connection
The Test function is activated by connecting terminal 6 “TEST” of terminal block MS1 on
Transmitter to ground. If the test procedure is successful, the alarm relays on Receiver circuit will
be activated 10 seconds later.
Remark:
for high risk protection it is necessary to conduct a Periodic Test of the equipment.
During these tests the control panel will be able to detect tamper activity.
