Caveats in Cisco IOS XE 3.7S Releases
• CSCue69818
Symptom: The show inventory command displays wrong serial number.
Conditions: This issue occurs when the inventory is managed by the main serial number. However
the RPS and IM display PCB Serial Number in the show inventory output.
Workaround: Use the show diag all eeprom detail command.
• CSCuh76845
Symptom: OSPF is stuck in INIT after performing a shutdown followed by no shutdown of the
OSPF process. The router shows an LSA to be present on flood-list in the show ip ospf flood-list
command output.
Conditions: This issue occurs after executing a shutdown followed by no shutdown of the OSPF
process. The issue is only seen in timing conditions.
Workaround: Execute a shutdown followed by no shutdown on the physical interface which has
LSA on its flood-list.

Symptom: Traffic drop observed on the router after IM OIR.
Conditions: This issue occurs after an IM OIR.
Workaround: There is no workaround.

Symptom: The 10 Gigabit Ethernet Interface Power and Status LED on the IM does not working as
expected.
Conditions: This issue occurs on module OIR or reload.
Workaround: There is no workaround.

Symptom: Executing show xconnect results in a memory leak. This issue was observed after issuing
the show memory debug leaks chunks command as in example below:

Conditions: This issue is observed when one or more xconnects are configured with UDP
encapsulation.
Workaround: There is no workaround.

Symptom: An ISIS flap is observed on performing SSO.
Conditions: This issue occurs when nsf ietf is configured and one or more loopbacks are configured
as passive interfaces.
Workaround: Perform the following;
a. Use nsf cisco.
b. Use nsf ietf and configure ip router isis process_name on the loopback interfaces.
