Caveats in Cisco IOS XE 3.7S Releases

Symptom: The standby RSP Sync LED goes to holdover after switchover.
Conditions: This issue occurs in normal working conditions. This is a cosmetic issue.
Workaround: There is no workaround.

Symptom: PFM fails for about fiveminutes after OIR on the master.
Conditions: This issue occurs when OIR is triggered on the master.
Workaround: Wait for 5-6 minutes after the OIR

Symptom: QOS does not reject policy-map with match EXP and extended num ACL (permit L4).
Conditions: This issue occurs when the policy-map with match exp and L4 ACL is configured and
applied on main interface.
Workaround: There is no workaround.
• CSCug08566
Symptom: Next-hop of a static redistributed route is unexpectedly marked as unreachable.
Conditions: This issue occurs when redistributing a static route into BGP (in global or VRF table
(X) ), whose next-hop points to another VRF (Y), the next-hop will be looked up in (X), and thus
the route may be marked with next-hop unreachable.
Workaround: Manually set the next-hop to 0 when redistributing using the set ip next-hop
peer-address command.

Symptom: The PID for the new fan tray is not reflected for show inventory command output.
Conditions: This issue occurs when the show inventory command is issued. The fan tray PID does
not show up for SNMP walk for Entity MIB.
Workaround: There is no workaround.
• CSCul50181
Symptom: The router may see unicast traffic not being forwarded out of the Gigabit Ethernet
interface while multicast traffic is being processed by the router correctly. Pings fail to a directly
connected neighbour but OSPF would be up.
Conditions: This issue occurs when BDI configs are configured on the Gigabit Ethernet interface.
Workaround: Reload the router.

Symptom: The clear ethernet cfm ais command with evc option does not work.
Conditions: This issue occurs when evc name with clear ethernet cfm ais command is specified.
Workaround: Use the service option instead.
