Supported RAID Controllers and Required Cables
This server supports the RAID controllers and cable requirements shown in Table C-1.
Caution In a SFF 8-drive server, do not use the embedded software RAID controller and a hardware RAID
controller card to control the front-facing drives at the same time. This combination is not supported and
could result in data loss. You can use the embedded software RAID controller to control internal SAS SSD
boot drives (SFF 24-drive and LFF 12-drive server versions only) while you use a hardware RAID
controller card to control the front-facing drives.
