If your Clarion Marine Equipment produces no sound, it might be due to the speaker protection circuit being activated. First, try turning down the sound volume. You can also try turning the power off and on again. If the sound is still muted, it may be necessary to consult our service department.

      Kirk RobinsonAug 23, 2025
If your Clarion Marine Equipment displays nothing when buttons are pressed or the display is inaccurate, the microprocessor may have malfunctioned. Turn off the power, then press the Reset button and remove the button DCP. Press the reset button for about 2 seconds with a thin rod. If the RESET button is pressed when a disc is loaded, eject the disc and load it once again before attempting to play it. Also, the DCP or main unit connectors could be dirty. Wipe them off with a soft cloth moistened with cleaning alcohol.

Why is there no sound output with amplifiers or power antenna on my Clarion M309?
    • T
      Troy WalkerAug 26, 2025
If your Clarion Marine Equipment provides no sound output when operating the unit with amplifiers or a power antenna attached, the power antenna lead might be shorted or require excessive current. Turn the unit off, remove all wires from the power antenna lead, and check each for shorts with an ohm meter. Turn the unit back on, and reconnect each amplifier remote wire one by one. If the amplifiers turn off before all wires are attached, use an external relay.
