Take extreme care when using this instrument on aninductive component such as
atransformer, relay coils and thelike, and make sure they have been discharged
beforehand. Highvoltage may be induced at themeasuring points if anopen circuit occurs.
To avoid shocks, you must be CAREFUL when working with voltages higher than 60V DC
or 30 V AC RMS. Voltages higher than this pose arisk of heavy electric shocks.
Note: Theopen-circuit voltage is around 2.3–2.5V.
Square wave
Warning: Do not load themultimeter with voltages higher than 10V when measuring
square waves.
1. Connect theblack test lead to
and thered
test lead to .
2. Set thefunction selector to
.
3. Read themeasurement on thedisplay.
Note:
Thefrequency is approximately 50Hz.
Theoutput voltage range will be over 3 Vp-p
(peak-to-peak) at aninput impenance of 1 MΩ.
When you have finished measuring thecircuit,
disconnect thetest leads from theobject being
measured.
Care and maintenance
Clean theexterior of themultimeter by wiping it with adamp cloth. Use only mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Whenever it is not to be used for anextended period, thebattery should be removed
from themultimeter and it should be stored in adry, dust-free environment, out of
children’s reach.
