Take extreme care when using this instrument on aninductive component such as
atransformer, relay coils and thelike, and make sure they have been discharged
beforehand. Highvoltage may be induced at themeasuring points if anopen circuit occurs.
To avoid shocks, you must be CAREFUL when working with voltages higher than 60V DC
or 30 V AC RMS. Voltages higher than this pose arisk of heavy electric shocks.
Note: Theopen-circuit voltage is around 2.3–2.5V.
Square wave
Warning: Do not load themultimeter with voltages higher than 10V when measuring
square waves.
1. Connect theblack test lead to
and thered
test lead to .
2. Set thefunction selector to
.
3. Read themeasurement on thedisplay.
Note:
• Thefrequency is approximately 50Hz.
• Theoutput voltage range will be over 3 Vp-p
(peak-to-peak) at aninput impenance of 1 MΩ.
• When you have finished measuring thecircuit,
disconnect thetest leads from theobject being
measured.
Care and maintenance
• Clean theexterior of themultimeter by wiping it with adamp cloth. Use only mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Whenever it is not to be used for anextended period, thebattery should be removed
from themultimeter and it should be stored in adry, dust-free environment, out of
children’s reach.
