The checks described should be carried out at least once a year by a qualified technician.
Using glycol
See chapter “6. Water connections” on page 36 “11.1 Controls in the area” on
page 156.
Document the glycol concentration and pH value of the system at least once a
year.
A pH value below 8.0 indicates that a significant proportion of the inhibitor has
been consumed and should be topped up.
A pH value of less than 7.0 indicates that the glycol has oxidised; in this case
it is recommended to drain and flush the system thoroughly to prevent serious
damage.
The glycol solution must be disposed of in accordance with the local laws and
regulations in force.
