Special safety rules for the compound mitre saw
Caution: Unplug the power cord before service or when replacing a blade.
Assurethatallpartsoperateappropriatelyandthatthesafetyfeaturesprotectas
intendedbeforestartingthesaw.
1.
Caution: Useonlycuttingblades.Makesurethattungstencarbideblades
havenegativeteeth.Donotusebladeswithdeepspacesbetweentheteeth
assuchcanbendandcomeincontactwiththebladeguard.Adamagedsaw
blademustimmediatelybereplaced.
2. Donotusethesawuntilitiscompletelyandaccuratelyassembledaccording
tothisoperationsmanual.Verifytherotationdirectionofthemotorandthe
blade(seetherotationarrowonthebladeguard.)Makecertainthatthesaw
bladedoesnottouchtherotationtableinanysetting.Unplugthepowercord
andleanthesawblademanuallyat45°and90°.Adjustifneeded.
3. Unlessyouunderstandhowthesawistobeused,youshouldaska
knowledgeablepersonforadvice.
4. Neversawfreehanded.Fastentheworkpiecesecurelyagainstthefenceinan
appropriatemannerbeforebeginningtosaw.Iftheworkpieceyouaresawing
requiresthatyoukeepyourhandascloseas10cmfromtheblade,youshould
alwayslocktheworkpieceinplacewithaclamporsimilarbeforesawing.

Caution: Keepyourhandsclearofthesawblade.Neversawsmallpieces.
Usesupports.
6. Ascertainthatthebladeiswellcentred,sharp,andrunsfreelywithoutvibrating.
7. Letthemotorpickupspeedbeforebeginningtosaw.
8. Keeptheventilationopeningsofthemotorcleanandfreeofsawdust.
9. Alwaysmakesurethatallclampscrewsaretightbeforebeginningtosaw,
evenifthetableisxedatarmangle.
10.Makesurethatthebladeandtheangesarecleanandthatthespindlenutis
tight,useonlythebladeangesthatbelongtoyourparticularsaw.
11.Useonlyblades210mmindiameterandtherightspeedclassication
(atleast6000RPM).
12.Useanappropriateextrasupportwhensawinglongworkpieces.
13.Beforesawing,alwaysmakesurethatthebladeisnotcrackedordamaged.
Suchabladeshouldimmediatelybereplaced.
14.Donotusethesawifanycomponentofthesawismissing,damaged,or
faulty,unplugthepowercordtothesawifitstartsmakingastrangenoise
orvibrating.Letaprofessionalreplacethemissingordamagedcomponent
beforeyouusethesawagain.
15.Neverusethesawifthecoversarenotinplaceordonotworkproperly.

youcanalwayskeepyourbalance.
