Remove used drying agent (see above
section) and ensure that the discharge point
is closed.
Remove the filling plug with a suitable tool
(see figure).
Fill the several drying agents in as separate
layers (according to the technical data in the
appendix).
If necessary, use a funnel. Take special note
of the next step:
Provide for a high bulk density in the vessel.
Remove filling plug
Note:
To achieve an optimum bulk density, we recommend using a
"snowstorm" filling pipe available from the manufacturer.
Otherwise use a rubber hammer to tap regularly against the vessel wall
during filling or use a rod to distribute and compact the drying agent through
the vessel opening.
Re-mount the filling plug, as well renew the gasket.
Repeat the process on the second vessel.
If no other maintenance work is required: Restart dryer (see page 41). Check
that the connection is leak tight.
