7. Maintenance
DANGER!
CAUTION!
IMPORTANT!
During installation, inspections and before
carrying out any maintenance work be sure
that all pressure is released from the
system and the machine is electrically
isolated. Never attempt to straighten badly
bent tubing or re-use damaged fittings.
Never tighten any fitting when it is under
pressure.
Tampering with safety valves invalidates the
warranty.
On CE units the pressure setting of each
pressure relief valve can be found on the tag
attached to the relief valve.
On retrofit units that are hardwired into the
air system, a lock-out procedure must be
followed during installation, inspections,
maintenance, or repairs.
1) Announce the lock-out to other
personnel.
2) Turn power off at main box.
3) Lock power box in the off position.
4) Put key in your pocket.
5) Document lock out and reasons for the
lock out in the daily log book.
6) Make sure unit is clear of all personnel.
7) Test lock-out by trying to start the unit.
8) Complete required operations.
9) Announce that the lock-out condition is
being ended and clear the unit of all
personnel.
10) Take key out of your pocket.
11) Unlock the power box.
12) Turn the power box on.
Lock Out Procedure:
13) Announce that the unit has power to
other personnel.
14) Document that lockout has been
lifted and any actions taken in the
daily log book.
Daily Or Each Time Unit Is Operated Inspect
unit and Check Logs per sections 3.8 and
3.8.1.
7.1 Maintenance Schedule
The calibration schedule will be maintained
and adjusted electronically within the CMM
unit.(see section 6)
