7.2 CO Replacement
The average life span of this CO cell is
approximately 2 years depending on usage.
When calibration fails three consecutive times
it indicates a failure that could result in
replacement. Troubleshooting must be done
to verify that the CO cell must be replaced.
Access to CO cell is made by entering the
upper control panel.
An Anti-Static Strap is highly
recommended. This is to prevent static
discharge to the CO monitor board during
the change of the sensor. When using a
static strap follow the manufacturing
procedures for hookup.
1) Turn compressor system and CMM off.
2) Open CMM Door
- Wall Mount: Use allen key from front
- BAM/BAC: Access to door lock is
through right side enclosure door.
- See fig.7.2-1 for view of latch inside.
BAM/BAC unlocks from back of
CMM enclosure.
IMPORTANT!
4) Static Strap should be put on at this point.
5) Remove four Nylon wing nuts see fig. 7.2-
3
6) Gently pull CO housing from CO sensor
board.
Hoses and wires are sufficiently long
enough to remove disconnecting.
(See figure 7.2-3)
7) Locate 003MEC-5 and remove gently.
8) Carefully place new 003MEC-5 CO sensor
onto board. Care should also be taken not
to touch the center of the CO cell. Note
locations of pins on cell vs. holes on board
before attempting to insert. Inserting
incorrectly may result in damage to the
board. When pins are correctly aligned,
insertion will require a light push to seat it
flush on the board.
